Peace - Pray that they may feel God's peace each day, and when struggles occur, His peace will help them overcome all fears. Pray also for self-restraint when tempers flare and a calm spirit to dissolve tension. "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:7) May the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit, soul, and body, be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again.” (1 Thessalonians 5:23)
Reconciliation - Pray that each person will have the attitude of a peacemaker. Pray that individuals will be reminded of God’s love and forgiveness, becoming a godly influence, leading their friends and neighbors to reconciliation with God and each other. "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God." (Matthew 5:9)
Amazing Grace - Pray that believers will always remember the grace of God and extend it to others and that non-believers will be enlightened by the gospel of Grace. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Yield - Pray that leaders will yield to the Holy Spirit and be filled with His wisdom and discernment when making decisions, dealing with conflict and guiding others. But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.” (Matthew 13:23) “…We ask God to give you complete knowledge of His will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.” (Colossians 1:9-10)

Food & Clothing - Pray that the Africans will not be concerned or worried about daily necessities, but will trust God for everything that is needed for a healthy life. Pray that the children and their families will understand the need for a well-balanced diet and gain knowledge of good nutrition and hygiene. "So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them." (Matthew 6:31-32)
Obedience - Pray that we all will have such a deep love for God that living a life to please Him will be the most important thing in life. Pray that we will learn to be aware of God's leading and obedient to follow His will. "Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we obey his commands and do what pleases him." (1 John 3:21-22) “…I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all He has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice – the kind He will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship Him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know Gods will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” (Romans 12:1-2)
Rejoicing - Ask God to fill His children with a spirit of rejoicing that will overcome all adversities that may try to hinder a close walk with Him. Pray that the children will influence friends and family with a spirit of rejoicing to seek the Savior. "Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy." (1 Peter 1:8)

Humility - Pray that each person will be humble before God all the days of his life and that God will allow honor and promotion to bless and reward faithful humility. Pray for an attitude of obedience and submission to parents and those in authority in their life. "Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 18:4) “Humble yourself under the mighty power of God, and at the right time He will lift you up in honor.” (1 Peter 5:6)
Opportunities to Give - Ask God to instill within each American heart, a generous spirit that will respond to the needs of others, and to willingly share God's blessings with those who are less fortunate. "He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for what he has done." (Proverbs 19:17)
Patience - As you lift up our Bridge children and leaders to the Lord today, ask that each will learn to endure life's trials with patience, knowing that God will reward it with His blessing. Pray that daily life with it’s trials and frustrations will develop a loving and patient attitude in each of them. “You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised." (Hebrews 10:36)
Encouragement - Pray that all Bridge leaders, pastors and volunteers will treat each other with respect and encourage one another in their walk. “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.” (Ephesians 4:29) Y
